We are Canadian Jews dedicated to protecting human rights
and freedoms throughout the world.
and freedoms throughout the world.
In July 2014, a group of several dozen Jews in Victoria, B.C., who are active in the local Jewish community and share a deep concern for the future of Israel and of Jewish life in the diaspora, came together to form a new grassroots human rights organization. We named our group “If Not Now, When?” in reference to the famous Jewish religious leader Hillel the Elder’s inspiring call to self-reflection and action.
We have since developed as a Canadian Jewish human rights advocacy organization dedicated to the values of justice, compassion and liberty as embodied in Jewish culture and traditions. |
